Why Solar Screens
Solar screens are fixed exterior screens mounted over the window itself. Unlike a retractable shade, they stay in place through the season and quietly reject a large share of solar energy before it reaches the glass — commonly seventy to ninety percent depending on the mesh.
They are the most cost-effective exterior product per window, which is why they are the practical choice when the goal is to treat an entire west elevation rather than a single opening. Homeowners commonly see a real reduction in a summer power bill after screening the west side of a house.
The honest trade-off is that they darken the view from inside and are visible from the street, so they suit the elevation that takes the beating rather than the front of the house. We usually specify screens on the west and south and something else on the front.

Which window treatments are best for Las Vegas heat?

Can you install window treatments in an existing home?
Yes. We work in homes people live in, from a mid-century ranch with single-pane glass in aluminum frames to a new build near the 215. We protect your floors, clean up and vacuum before we go, and haul your old blinds away for free. If you want us to take the old ones down, that is priced per window on your quote, so there are no surprises on install day.
How long does it take to receive and install custom shades?
3–5 weeks for blinds and shades, 6–10 weeks for shutters, counted from the day you order. Motorized products take about a week longer. Your lead time is written on your quote, so you know before you say yes. Need privacy sooner? We put up temporary shades for free while you wait. On install day we install, walk through every window with you, clean up, and haul your old blinds away free.
Do custom window treatments come with a warranty?
Yes, and on three things. A limited lifetime manufacturer warranty on blinds, shades and shutters, for as long as you own them. Motors and motorized parts: 5 years. Our own installation work: 1 year. If something goes wrong because of how we installed it, we come back and fix it at no charge. Your exact terms are written on your quote. After that first year, a service visit is $175. Parts the manufacturer's warranty covers are free, so you pay only for our labor; any other parts are extra, and we quote the cost before doing any work.
